All glass pieces start from clear glass gathered onto a blowpipe. Additional clear glass, colors, wraps, and feet are added during the shaping process that can take from 30 minutes to 1 hour. The piece is placed in an annealing oven that relieves the internal stresses that would otherwise cause fractures and then is ramped down to room temperature over a 12 hour period. If used for food do not microwave or use for hot items.
